“Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer”.

School Trip provides opportunities for the students to grow and develop lasting bonds. It aims to:

  • nurture a sense of independence and confidence.
  • develop and support the students’ intellectual curiosity.
  • nurture talents beyond the traditional classroom.
  • provide life-changing experiences and memories.

To nurture all these qualities in students we at NPS WEST organised the trip to CHITRADURGA fort for the students of Grade: 6 to 9 along with the teachers and support staff. There were 207 students divided in to 5 buses accompanied by 5 teachers and a support staff in each bus. We started from the school at 5:45 am as planned and reached Spoorthy Delicacy by 10 am for the breakfast in Chitradurga. At 11 am we started to climb the fort and reached Obbavvana Kindi and came down by 2 pm. Children exhibited their great zeal of enthusiasm and curiosity to visit a place which was historical. They enjoyed the beauty of nature. At 2:30 pm we returned to Spoorthy Delicacy for lunch and left to Chandravalli cave temple by 5 pm. The cave is pitch dark and only 20 people can visit in one turn taking 20 min. Hence, we organised an introductory talk by the representative who gave us brief information about the cave. Later, the snacks were served in the bus. At 8:30 pm we reached Namaste Bengaluru for dinner and left at to school at 9:30 pm. We reached the school by 10:45 pm all tired but keeping the experiences and collecting wonderful moments of the trip.

“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page”.
