The audio-visual facility with smart interactive boards in every classroom further enriches the learning experience. All rooms have bulletin boards to display and encourage creative, informative and academic endeavours of the learners. Spacious shelves provide enough space for stationary, learner-made projects and models. Spacious and well-ventilated classrooms ensure individual attention to every student and having enough space even psychologically is extremely important for one’s mental health.
Students are brought in small numbers and are involved in various hands-on activities.The activities include students in small and large groups. Group activity ensures interaction among students to develop socialization, familiarize themselves, embellish interpersonal skills.
Our school prides itself on running a state-of-the-art Computer Lab. It has latest computers enabling each student to work on the computer individually under the supervision and guidance of highly qualified computer instructors, to empower students to prepare for a tech-savy future. The computer labs at NPS West provide a place for students to augment classroom learning, work on projects individually and collaboratively, to explore, create and develop computing literacy which are cornerstone skills for college and career readiness. We have two spacious state of the art computer lab each with 60-seater capacity.
NPS WEST has a well-equipped and brightly lit Science Laboratory that helps promote experimentation and develop scientific temper among students. There are separate Sections for Biology, Physics and Chemistry with equipments and specimens to meet the needs of learners. Primary, middle school and senior school students use the lab extensively.
The lab is equipped with instruments that allow structural experimentation by students. It allows gaining hands on experience with instruments and apparatus that affords them unfettered opportunity to experiment. Physics Laboratory at NPS- West is well-organized, and a valuable resource unit of the school.
The laboratory is well equipped with a wide range of chemicals and apparatus that provides a dynamic, safe learning environment where students get hands-on experience while performing experiments. Under the guidance of teachers, students not only learn concepts related to the subject but they also develop observation, analytical and logical skills.
The Biology Laboratory is the place where the students engage in scientific enquiry to investigate natural phenomena. At NPS, West, the Biology laboratory with its wide range of equipment, specimens and models serves as an excellent platform for learning and experimentation in a clean, hygienic environment.
Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counsellors, and the most patient of teachers. Charles W Eliot. The NPS library is a bookworm’s delight housing a collection of over 10000 books. It covers a wide range of subjects, both fiction and non-fiction. The books are graded into levels and there is a gradual progression in terms of style, structure and vocabulary. In the Reading Programme we try to stimulate the reading habit of students.
The Social science lab provides a quick and functional environment to enable theoretical and practical knowledge. It is equipped with numerous wall maps, models, charts and other teaching aids to enhance the learning process. The room also has audio-visual facility which makes learning of Social Science in school a truly interesting, lively and fun experience.
The art teacher guides them through a multitude of techniques, while exposing them to various styles of art ranging from modern art, folk art, object study, landscaping and decorative styles. Children are encouraged to express themselves, using different mediums like oil pastels, water colours, pencil shading, etching and many more. Charts and art sheets, which decorate the walls, are a testimony of the intense and enjoyable learning that takes place within the art room.Students are introduced to different forms of art by accomplished Art teachers. Students are also encouraged to create thematic art based on important occasions/events, which are later displayed on the school bulletin board.
Dance brings about a healthy psychological well-being in students, improving their agility, flexibility, grace and confidence. Dance teachers help students find a song in their heart, the beat in their feet and a passion for life. Dance is a much-loved activity at NPS West and an excellent stress buster for the students. The dance room is the wellspring from where talents begin to bloom. Through dance students learn team work, focus and improvisation. They learn various forms of dance like the Free style, Western and Classical.
The music room is well equipped with instruments that accompany the music classes. Music is a part of the curriculum for grades 1-5. It is a creative hub that provides an environment that is conducive to learning and appreciation of music.
The school Infirmary provides first-aid and care to students when required. The health care room which maintains highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene with basic medical facilities. It is equipped with the necessary facilities to address the immediate health needs while in school. A qualified and experienced nurse is available to manage and assess any health issues that may arise during school hours. Medical check-ups of students are regularly carried out and records are maintained.
A well-equipped Math Lab provides students with opportunity to have fun with numbers, space and dimensions. It creates a challenging atmosphere for students to put their mathematical abilities to test and enhances their analytical reasoning and lateral thinking through various games and activities. Hands-on experience enables students to develop their observation skills and derive mathematical formulae – thus shifting the focus from rote learning to logical reasoning.
In the Math Lab, games are organized, models made, quizzes conducted and projects exhibited. Innovation and experimentation happen here through the use of a wide variety of kits. Curriculum based activities as well as extended Math activities are dealt with. These measures help to remove the phobia for the subject.

The school will have a state- of- the- art auditorium which is fully air conditioned and is equipped with the latest audio-visual facilities. Used for important functions, competitions, class assemblies and other inter-school and intra school activities, showcasing the students’ extra-curricular talents. Educational documentaries are screened as and when appropriate.
Sports facilities at NPS West include throwball, basketball, volleyball, football, table-tennis, carrom, chess, karate, cricket, badminton and yoga.
A play area helps students to rejuvenate and intermingle. The Jungle Gym at NPS West is a play structure for students in the Primary Grades. It is an outdoor recreational equipment that includes swing sets and slides. The area helps children to develop physical coordination, strength and flexibility. The gym provides recreation and enjoyment.
Children are under strict supervision all the time. Only authorized personnel are allowed entry into the school premises. CCTV cameras keep important areas under constant surveillance. The school is equipped with fire extinguishers in case of unforeseen exigencies. The school management and administration is committed to ensuring the safety of the students as top priority.
