Environment’ Day

To end the PLASTIC MENACE, this environment’s day is BEAT PLASTIC POLLUTION!
In order to create this awareness and to make students sensitive towards nature, the students of G: IX A of NPS, WEST organised various events. The curtain opened with a roleplay showcasing how the plastic is thrown after used polluting the environment and ended with cleaning the mother Nature by giving a strong message to reduce the use of plastic and not to litter the environment.
The roleplay was followed by a mesmerising song in praise of other nature. Also, the students shared the importance of the day and raising their voice to uplift the theme for the day TO AVOID PLASTIC.
After the assembly, Ms. Vimala Unni, the mentor and academic advisor and Ms. Vindhya, the Principal, flagged-off the RALLY for the students of G – 6 to 9 who, went on the rally shouted the slogans to save the environment, to green the nature, to avoid plastic and any more. The students had wonderful placards for the rally and were very enthusiastic about it.
Later, in the day the chairperson Ms. Anupama, the Principal Ms. Vindhya, the mentor and academic advisor Ms. Vimala Unni with the senior co-ordinator Ms. Ashalatha planted saplings to create awareness of making the school green and clean.
